Staff Sergeant Timothy P. Davis, a U.S. Air Force Special Tactics Combat Controller with the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron, was killed in action on February 20, 2009, near Oruzgan, Afghanistan, while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty is forever honored by the Combat Control community.
